Summer is right around the corner, the perfect season for cooking up all of your barbecue favorites, but sometimes you want someone else to do the heavy lifting. That's where any one of the incredible barbecue joints around the country comes in, dishing out flavorful dishes and BBQ classics you know and love so you don't have to.

Cheapism compiled a list of the "best hole-in-the-wall BBQ joints" across the U.S., the top barbecue hotspots that customers return to again and again to fill up on smoky favorites. Several of the restaurants featured on the list are found in BBQ havens like Texas, Missouri and other southern states, including two eateries in Tennessee that made the cut: Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous in Memphis and Delauder's in Gatlinburg.

Here's what the site had to say about these must-try restaurants:

"The family-owned Memphis institution that is Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous started in a basement in 1948. Today, it's known for its low-key vibe and giant portions of pork ribs and massive combination platters. The pork ribs and shoulder rule the roost at Rendezvous and stand out as stellar even in the barbecue mecca of Memphis."
"On the farthest reaches of Eastern Tennessee, opposite of Memphis in the West, is Gatlinburg, where you'll find a true hidden gem waiting to be discovered in one of the most well-worn barbecue states in America. There are an astonishing number of things that Delauder's is willing to barbecue, all of which are worthy of an award. Try the barbecued nachos, chicken chunks, and pork butts."
