Luke Combs is gearing up to open a next-level honky tonk inspired by his smash-hit single, “Hurricane,” aiming for a 2024 opening date in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Country Album of the Year winner is joining forces with Opry Entertainment Group to make the entertainment venue — which has not officially been named as of publication time — happen. Combs announced plans on Thursday (April 13), including a honky-tonk space, a concert hall, a sports bar and other highlights throughout the four-story space, per a report by the Tennessean. Ryman Hospitalities Executive Chairman Colin Reed confirmed to the Nashville-based news outlet that officials are aiming for a mid-2024 opening. The space is currently occupied by Wildhorse Saloon, which will remain open while it's revamped to reopen as Combs’ bar.
Combs, a soon-to-be father of two who released his latest 18-track album just before kicking off his world tour, joins a growing list of country music heavyweights whose names appear on some of the frequently-visited honky tonks and entertainment venues on and around Nashville’s Lower Broadway. Other artists who have opened their own bars include Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley and others. Eric Church and Garth Brooks also have venues on the way.
