Thomas Lane, Ex-Officer Charged In George Floyd Death, Seeks Case Dismissal

The attorney for the former Minneapolis police officer who held George Floyd’s legs while Derek Chauvin pressed his knee into Floyd’s neck filed a motion to dismiss Lane's charges earlier this week.

In his memorandum, the lawyer claimed that there isn't probable cause to charge his client because there is no evidence Lane played an intentional role or knew Chauvin was committing a crime.
